Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to some commonly asked questions

If you cannot find your answer, send an email to our club President, Alan Mis: akmis@roadrunner.com

Why join the Buffalo Golf Club?
This is the easiest to answer. Our club is currently sponsored by over 50 area companies, thus allowing us to offer great rewards for your low membership cost. We host 5 major parties a year along with our weekly tournaments. Each party is served buffet with free beverages. You can compete for valuable gift certificates in each weekly event, or win great golf items by simply showing up at a party. Every member I know says the same thing. "If you golf Grover Cleveland Golf Course with the BGC, you can't go wrong".

How much does the membership cost?
Membership is $95.00 per year. New members must add on a one time fee of $25.00. This fee covers your entry into every weekly event and party we host. All you have to do is enjoy!

Handicaps ?
We have a certified handicapper on our Board of Directors. New members are required to play at least 5 rounds of golf to obtain a handicap. This handicap is then applied to almost every weekly tournament. Handicaps are updated regularly and are availabl in the book at the clubhouse. Mewmbers should check their handicap for changes before scoring an event. Handicaps are also available on-line at this website.

Am I good enough?
Yes you are. Our club is split into 3 golfing classes. A, B, and C. The "A" class is handicap 0-10; the "B" class is handicap 11-17 and the "C" class is handicap 18 and up. We also run age class and team tournaments several times during the season. Because we use a handicap system, golfers of every skill level have an equal chance of winning each and every week.

Who won last week?
The results of each weekly tournament are posted in the Grover clubhouse (usually within a couple of days of the event). We also post the weekly results on this website.
