Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to some commonly asked questions

If you cannot find your answer, send an email to our club President, Alan Mis: alan.mis@outlook.com

Why join the Buffalo Golf Club?
This is the easiest to answer. Our club is currently sponsored by a number of area companies, thus allowing us to offer great rewards for your low membership cost. We host several major parties a year along with our weekly tournaments. Each party is served buffet-style with free beverages. You can compete for valuable gift certificates in each weekly event, or win great golf items by simply showing up at a party. Every member I know says the same thing. "If you golf Grover Cleveland Golf Course with the BGC, you can't go wrong".

How much does the membership cost?
Membership is $120.00 per year. New members must add on a one time fee of $25.00. This fee covers your entry into every weekly event and party we host. All you have to do is enjoy!

Handicaps ?
We use GHIN, the official USGA handicap service, to assign handicaps to all of our members and we have a certified handicapper on our Board of Directors. New members need to play at least 3 rounds of golf to obtain a handicap. This handicap is then applied to almost every weekly tournament. Handicaps are updated regularly and are available in the book at the clubhouse and on the club's website. Members should check their handicap for changes before scoring an event.

Am I good enough?
Yes you are. Our club is split into 3 golfing classes. A, B, and C. The "A" class is handicap 0-9; the "B" class is handicap 10-16 and the "C" class is handicap 17 and up. We also run age class and team tournaments several times during the season. Because we use a handicap system, golfers of every skill level have an equal chance of winning each and every week.

Who won last week?
The results of each weekly tournament are posted in the Grover clubhouse (usually within a couple of days of the event). We also post the weekly results on this website.
